Cookie Policy
Last Updated: November 27, 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how ecomVance ("ecomVance," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website and use our services (collectively, the "Service"). ecomVance is a product of BEY AGENCY LTD (Company number 16435596), a Private Limited Company registered in the United Kingdom at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies?
1.1 Definition: Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences and actions.
1.2 Types of Cookies:
- Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are essential for maintaining your session while using our Service.
- Persistent Cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They remember your preferences and recognize you when you return.
- First-Party Cookies: Cookies set by ecomVance directly when you visit our website.
- Third-Party Cookies: Cookies set by third-party services that we use for analytics, advertising, or other purposes.
2. How We Use Cookies
2.1 Essential Cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our Service. They enable core functionality such as authentication, security, and session management. Without these cookies, we cannot provide our services.
2.2 Functional Cookies: These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They remember your preferences and choices to provide a more tailored experience.
2.3 Performance and Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect information about how you use our Service, such as which pages you visit and any errors you experience. This data helps us improve performance and user experience.
2.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies: These cookies may be used to track your activity across websites to deliver personalized advertising and measure campaign effectiveness. We currently use minimal advertising cookies.
3. Similar Technologies
3.1 Local Storage: We use local storage (HTML5 storage) to store certain preferences and data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to our servers with each request.
- User preferences and settings
- Draft content and unsaved work
- Cache data for improved performance
- Recent search history within the platform
3.2 Session Storage: Session storage is similar to local storage but is cleared when you close your browser tab. We use it for temporary form data, navigation state, and temporary UI state.
3.3 Web Beacons: We may use web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs) in our emails and on our website to track email opens, clicks, and website interactions. These help us measure the effectiveness of our communications and improve our services.
4. Shopify App Store Integration Cookies
When you access ecomVance through the Shopify App Store as an embedded application, additional cookies and session management mechanisms are used to ensure seamless integration with Shopify Admin.
4.1 Shopify Embedded App Cookies:
When ecomVance operates as an embedded app within Shopify Admin, the following session mechanisms are used:
- shopify-session-token: Shopify session authentication for embedded apps (Session)
- ev-store-api-key: ecomVance store-specific API authentication (Session)
- ev-store-id: Store identification for API requests (Session)
4.2 Shopify Admin Integration:
- ecomVance operates within Shopify Admin using Shopify's App Bridge framework
- Session tokens are validated using Shopify's Session Token API for secure authentication
- No cookies are stored directly in your browser when using the embedded app; authentication is handled through Shopify's secure session management
4.3 Cross-Origin Considerations:
When ecomVance runs as an embedded Shopify app, it operates within an iframe on Shopify's domain. Due to browser security policies, traditional cookies may be blocked in this context. Instead, we use:
- Shopify Session Tokens for authentication
- API headers (X-API-Key, X-API-Secret) for secure API communication
- Local storage within the embedded app context for UI preferences
5. Third-Party Cookies
5.1 Third-Party Services: We use the following third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- Supabase: Authentication and database services - Privacy Policy
- Vercel: Hosting and analytics - Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics: Website analytics - Privacy Policy
- Stripe: Payment processing - Privacy Policy
5.2 Third-Party Control: We do not have control over third-party cookies. These services have their own privacy policies that govern how they collect and use data. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for more information.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
6.1 Cookie Consent: When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or customize your cookie preferences. You can change your preferences at any time through our cookie settings (accessible via the footer link or account settings).
6.2 Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- View what cookies are stored on your device
- Delete specific cookies or all cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Set preferences for specific websites
6.3 Opt-Out Tools:

6.4 Impact of Disabling Cookies: Please note that if you disable or delete cookies, some features of our Service may not function properly:
- You may not be able to stay logged in to your account
- Your preferences may not be saved between visits
- Some features may not work as expected
- You may need to re-enter information more frequently
7. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites you visit indicating your preference not to be tracked. There is currently no uniform standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At present, our Service does not respond differently based on DNT signals. However, you can use the cookie management options described in Section 6 to control tracking.
8. Regional Considerations
8.1 European Economic Area (GDPR): If you are located in the EEA, we comply with the EU Cookie Directive and GDPR requirements. We obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies and provide you with clear information about what cookies we use and why.
8.2 United Kingdom: We comply with the UK GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), obtaining consent for non-essential cookies and providing transparent information about our cookie practices.
8.3 California (CCPA): California residents have the right to opt-out of the "sale" of personal information. While we do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, some cookie-based tracking may be considered a "sale" under CCPA. You can opt out of such tracking using the methods described in Section 6.
8.4 Turkey (KVKK): We comply with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law requirements for cookie consent and data processing transparency.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
